NAT, from the land to the sea

Nathalie Le Guillou was born in France in 1965, into a family in Brittany on the extreme west coast of France where the land stops and the sea commences. Her upbringing in this landscape has marked her with a vision that never ceases to be apparent in her paintings, which often feature these influences.

After having been an underwater photographer for a many years, often in the tropical seas of Polynesia, the Maldives or the Red sea, Nathalie has engraved the depths, the blues and the emeralds in the palette of her emotions.

Today, she is installed in Antibes, in a charming little atelier, which is ideally situated close to the famous Museum Picasso - who himself chose this corner of the French Riviera for its range of vivid colours, and also for its easy going lifestyle. Natalie now divides her talent between sculpture and painting.

On one side are her sculptures and the magic of bringing alive in three dimensions the memories of her distant travels, on the other the infinite surprise of her original paintings in vibrant colors signed “NAT”…… and as always the land and the sea are in the destiny of an artist completely contented.

PAINTINGS

Using oil paint on linen canvas is essential  to

give each picture its personality, relief, depth and its tones.

All my canvases are exhibited in my atelier-gallery in Antibes.

SCULPTURES

Bronze, natural earth, patina earth and also enamel are my favorite materials for the creation of my sculptures.

CERAMICS

All my ceramics are created with natural clay from Saint-Amand, which are then enamelled by hand. This assures the character and uniqueness of each piece.
